yes i know im being a bitch for always not being satisfied with what i get.
i know NS somehow also means No Say, yet im always trying to change my fate.
first the ERS course, and now my place of work.
somehow, NS really gave me sucky options.
i wanted to be in army or police.
never did i even think of scdf, yet i got it.
then i got into ERS, due to my qualifications.
i had no idea of what vocation to go to in scdf.
but after a few weeks, i know i didnt like firefighting, i dont want to be a fire fighter.
i'm sure i did make the correct move by opting to out of course.
i didnt want to be a medic at first, but i didnt have any other better option.
at least now im not regretting. medic is really an interesting vocation.
and then...my posting.
chose either to be posted to medical centre or BB fire station, yet i got ALEX.
my idea of alex is that it is a damn busy station, lots of calls.
with that, the station may be kilat.
also, i was too afraid to be an ambulance attendant.
i didnt want to experience those bloody scenes, open wounds (esp large ones), amputations, etc.
plus, alex is rather far from home. (med ctr isnt that near either actually)
so, luckily, some friends got into medical centre though they wanted station.
asked one of them to switch with me, and i finally got the switch.
ONLY after experiencing station for almost a month.
and guess what, i already began to like station, especially my rota(group).
alex is really a fun station.
the pm oic was right, i actually didnt felt like it was NS.
and alex isnt everything about bloody scenes.
road traffic accidents are not all that scary too.
its actually cool that u get to go places that u've never gone to before, some night spots, SENTOSA, PSA, schools etc.
now i really wonder if i did make the right choice of asking for the change.
not that im regretting, but i just think that it would have been better if i wasnt given the chance to experience alexandra's station life (not just any other stations).
yes, i still think that not all parts of station life is that great. there are still things that i dont quite like about it. but then again, it is NS!
and i still have the feeling that the doctor at med ctr dont quite like me.
either he thinks im a slacker, or that he's afraid im not as good as my friend.
i know im only on one month probation, but like my pm said, most prob i'll stay there.
what i can only hope for is that, the life at med ctr is as fun (or more) than station life.
though i can only get to see RECRUITS with fever, flu or stomach ache, i hope that it would be that boring.
at least, i get my weekends and public hols after the switch.
as for now, 1 last day shift on labour day and im off to medical centre on friday.
one thing for sure, i AM going to miss alexandra and its people, though i've only spent 12 days working with them.
well, i am one fickle-minded guy.
