tomorrow's last day of 2008.
like every other years, 2008 also suck and rock at the same time.
let me just recap events that happened in 2008.
1) The year without my pink IC.
NS pretty much sucked to me. or rather, i still think that i should have gone to SAF Band.
i still have no idea why SCDF takes in people majority who are MATs, BENGs or the indian version of it.
but there are good experiences gained from scdf too.
2) Being Ambulance Attendant at Alexandra Firestation.
gosh, i still miss those times! till i cant sleep thinking of it yesterday night.
all thanks to A121 that was deployed to my block (Bt Batok) all the way from Alexandra just as i was about to go to sleep.
i heard most of the new batch of medic trainees want medical centre. still wondering if i should really ask around for switch if they happen to get posted to Alex FS.
but that decision will pangseh-ed the docket dept real bad.
3) Almost a Sergeant.
not really almost. i chose to drop out at the 3rd week.
i just cant imagine myself as a firefighter. cant imagine myself going through the trainings.
the people there are great though. still in contact with a few of them.
and they're nice enough to remember me, the three week-er.
4) MC, just for CMB Alumni Concert.
none of my instructors knew, but it was worth it.
i had fun. i did what i like and missed, playing my SAXay (therefore the pic above)
the concert wasnt as great as we wanted it to be, but it wasnt totally our fault.
but again, we were performing to people who mostly dont even appreciate our music.
still, it was something nice. the first time i performed as an alumni. and it was a concert with representatives from every batches of brando tan.
im looking forward to the next! when will it be?
5) A Level Results and Uni Application
A's results were great, though i was expected to get better.
heck, i think i did well enough.
but, i didnt know i could do and would do A's before O's.
wasnt even thinking of JC route before sec 4 prelims, if i rmb correctly.
all thanks to dunno-what-course-to-take-in-poly, i chose PJC!
uni application wasnt easy too.
went to open houses but still no clue which course to take.
kinda anyhow picked and got into mech engin @ NUS.
oh yea, i didnt really consider NTU. just applied for fun.
so, NUS for me. might consider reapplying. still have 2-3 mths to think of it.
cant imagine me attending uni though. and now im getting rusty all thanks to NS.
6) Kedah Trip
didnt expect it to be quite fun. maybe cos i get to hang around with certain cousins and siblings instead of just parents aunties and uncles.
it was really a week w/o NS in mind.
7) KL Trip with Cousins
fun fun fun. even w/o the shopping. camwhored. partied. everything!
it was smth like THE WEEKEND of the year.
well, thats more or less the highlights of 2008.
i hope 2009 will be just as great or even better, certainly w/o the down part of 2008.
just a few things to mention bout 2009.
ORD!!
welcoming bro-in-law
and sis-in-law (if not, 2010)
decide on uni course
get driving license
and im thinking of going f1. anyone wanna go with me?
