HOHO. It's my Operationally Ready Date.
or more commonly known as ORD.
the 2 years has been quite a breeze i should say~
though being a recruit kinda sucked and NS did make my life a lil dull.
NS isnt all bad.
im glad i got posted to SCDF.
i know it is generalised as the place for Mats (malay bengs), and i still do think it is...
but there are some nice educated people (of all races, incl malays) there
before getting THE LETTER, i was hoping that i would get SAF.
prepared myself mentally for the life in tekong
already had my path planned out. to SAF BAND. if not, i wont mind OCS.
but no, its SCDF.
the only good thing i could think of at that time was staying on mainland.
got posted as a MEDIC. best vocation of SCDF.
i'd say that im lucky to get out of Emergency Rescue Specialist, ERS (though many may disagree)
tasted both the life of a station medic as well as the medical centre medic.
oh. life as medic trainee was so much better than life as a recruit. i so miss that period more.
station medic is really really fun. i dont deny.
being the 'hero'. the experience is priceless.
having to serve the public, really on the run..
seeing dead people, dying people, people in need of healthcare..
better than army. prepare prepare, but never really get to do the REAL thing.
medical centre medic is fun to. more so cos of the colleagues.
regulars can go hump the wall.
really glad for the friends i've made. seniors juniors. everyone. good or bad.
to sum it all up, my 2 years was 'made faster' cos of them.
going thru thick and thin together.
having fucked by brainless regulars or a certain doctor
teaming up against them...
screaming and screwing kengsters.
attending injured trainees..
doing drips and injections
certainly something i'll miss.
senior kamal luqman faiz abdul hakim
junior fuad dennis khoo zakaria lam farhan
dont think i'll ever forget them especially.
and to all : THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES.
like the title of Ryan Cabrera's song goes, I WILL REMEMBER YOU.
ALL OF YOU.
