alright. i know nobody really cares about blogs nowadays.
twitter and facebook is like the coolest thing on the internet.
and maybe tumblr.
so i was in a conversation with a friend, and ended up talking bout how we used to fare in our secondary school.
he was one of the better students in his school while always ended up bottom 5 in class for lower secondary.
not that surprising actually, considering half the class ended up in the triple science class.
well, the main point was, at that point of time, i never thought i would end up in a University.
i saw myself ending up in a polytechnic.
up till sec 4, i still though polytechnic was my choice, instead of the JC route.
only somewhere after the mid-year exams, i fear choosing the wrong course if i were to choose poly.
it took me quite a while to decide.
upon receiving the prelims result of L1R5: 9, i decided to give JC a try.
fortunately at that time, there was this thing called the Provisional Admission Exercise (PAE) for JCs, more commonly known as the first three months.
yup, it was fun. and i still couldnt decide which poly course to take.
so, i chose the JC path.
till now, i never regretted.
so when i reached home, i took out this book i had about the Joint Admission Exercise (JAE)
i remember writing my choices in the book back then.
my choices were:
1) Pioneer JC
2) National JC
3) Anglo Chinese JC
4) Saint Andrews JC
5) Jurong JC
6) Innova JC
7) Biomedical Science (Singapore Poly)
8) Biomedical Science (Ngee Ann Poly)
9) Media and Communication (Singapore Poly)
10) Tourism and Resort Management (Singapore Poly)
11) Tourism and Resort Management (Ngee Ann Poly)
12) Sports and Wellness Management (Nanyang Poly)
things to note,
- the order of choices for JCs arent in order of cut-off points. it's just my preference. fyi, i could have made it to National JC (NJC)........through band. but the muggers are such turn-offs. another fyi, i did better than some friends in NJC. The choice of JC doesnt matter that much.
- options 10-12 are seriously WTH! didnt know i had 'interest' in them at that time.
- engineering wasnt even one of the options!!
but my point is, i was heavier to biomedical science
ME. Diploma in Biomedical Science.
it would have been awesome, wouldnt it?
ok. it's not that im regretting my choice of course for Uni.
I had the time, and i wondered what would have happened if i were to choose the poly route instead.
As for Uni, it's still Semester 1. though it is ending in about a months time.
but im still doing very little of engineering. still at the fundamentals of it.
a.k.a maths and physics
definitely not easy. trying my best to cope with the amount of informations i have to know.
now that im in it, the only way out is at least with a degree. and my choice, Bachelor of Engineering.
but as for my major, im still deciding whether to change it from Mechanical Engineering to other kinds of engineering. such as Chemical Engineering or Material Science Engineering.
