another long weekend coming to an end.
this year quite awesome eh? pub hols fall near weekends
weekends got longer.
but only next week abit 'wrong'
why vesak day on a saturday?!
oh anyways, i rmb my last labour day (last yr)
i had to work on that day
my very last day working in station
i'll never forget that day.
the day that i got 2 Death-On-Arrival cases..which is nth near to interesting.
haiz, those station days were way cooler than now.
kinda got bored of seeing those recruits/trainees trying to get themselves excused from training.
and they're always the same few ppl.
the swine flu now gave us more work to do.
actually, its only temperature screening.
but have to do in for everybody in the camp!
SARS days were better in a way that everyone got their own thermometer.
and i was on duty on wednesday.
how lucky. that night was the first night we have to take temperature for the ones booking in at night.
so from 2200 - 2359, we're like stationed outside the medical centre waiting to people to book in to take their temperature.
i know healthcare workers shldnt be complaining at this kind of time.
but well, im not a full time healthcare worker. it is not my profession.
i think i wldnt mind doing this if im the nurse at the hospital or smth.
in camp, the recruits/trainees now got an excuse to report sick.
i can tell that monday will be a crazy day!
i've watched X-men Origin : Wolverine.
i dont think it's as bad as those reviews.
it is a typical x-men movie to me.
go catch it if you have the time and the money.
and today, i went for the first commonwealth alumni band practice.
our prev conductor gave us a chance to perform at the ESPLANADE.
HOW COOL! and how fortunate cmb is.
i dont want to give this a miss.
but then again, im having 2nd thoughts bout playing.
i dont know. the pieces are not that exciting.
but if exciting, it will be challenging. and we dont have the time for it.
and i understand that it isnt easy to get everyone present for all the practices.
everyone got their other commitments too.
and, my closer group of friends are uncertain bout playing too.
as for now, im in. but, i may just pull myself out of it.
so if im playing for alumni, i'll have things to do every day.
work(ns) on weekdays. alumni prac on saturdays. tutoring on sundays.
now, should i fit in driving too?
