guess what, i got to step into an army camp for the first time yesterday!
attended the commissioning parade of OCS batch 72/08.
the parade was, erm, just like any other parades arh.
but non-ns people seemed rather wow-ed by it.
oh, and you can really see the proud faces of parents.
they really have this wide smile on them, seeing they little boy-boy turned into a man.
a man whom the nation trusts to lead a group of men into keeping singapore safe.
somehow, there's this feeling inside me wishing i was part of the contingent.
someone who commissioned and got the rank 2LT.
it'd be awesome if i got that rank.
yes, i know you people are thinking "are you kidding me?"....esp since i chose to got out of the ERS course (a course in SCDF equivalent to SISPEC)
and, seeing the military band yesterday made me miss band even more
i kept telling my friends who were with me yesterday that i could have been there playing with the band for that parade.
i really miss band. playing my saxee and also the friends.
but maybe not so much of the stress of playing and leading well for an upcoming competition.
just for concerts is good enough.
saw so many familiar faces.
pri sch friends, sec sch friends, jc friends and even those from scdf.
and it was partly the reason that i didnt wanna go at first.
it's kinda depressing to tell ppl that im in scdf. dont ask why.
but then, it was kind of good to see some of them.
anyway, thank you jieli for inviting. and congrats on commissioning.
congrats to the rest of the 72/08 too! esp the ones i know.

its so dreadful to go to work tomorrow.
i dunno how it happened and what's gonna happen.
im the only one in my room tomorrow, out of 6.
3 on offs, 1 sent out to mandai, 1 in-charge of sickbay.
on top of that, im the duty medic with one guy understudy.
