shall sum up my week.
well, you know what happened on monday (read earlier post)
tuesday was band rehearsal at singapore conference hall
totally reminds me of my time in CMB where i will be the busy one going from one bus to another counting heads and also the noise the sax section will make in the bus.
with pjcsb, its kinda different.
man, suddenly reminds me of fangling. cos usually(in CMB), she'll be the noisy one la...complain here and there...bully me all that. well, miss her.
the band rehearsing before us was NYJC. what a coincidence.
saw brando. saw de souza. saw gina.
NYJC sounds not bad through the TV thingy. and brando looks very arrogant.
rehearsal was very fast paced. i dont rmb doing that with CMB.
test sound. play abit here and there. done. have to leave already.
wednesday. nothing much other than mr lum scolding our class seriously. for the first time.
but im not sure if he really meant what he said. other than the class being not serious and all.
well, i think partly because he was such a joker last year and it makes us difficult to be serious with him. wanna be serious also he will say us all the stupid criticisms which is funny in a way.
went to watch spiderman at cathay on thursday.
the movie's nice. just like expected.
the effects like roller coaster like that
but nothing new in spidey's movie.
other than more humour in this 3rd movie. and more villians
so, the next movie to watch is Pirates of the Caribbean .
i rate it 3half stars (out of 5)
well, maybe cos i expected more.
nothing much on friday.
and today was damn tiring.
had to be in school at 8am for SLO stuffs.
yep. 2nd time meeting my cluster. still not very close with them yet
got a list of participants under me.
Seminar Group ONE of Cluster ONE
i hope this experience gonna be a fun and memorable one.
so we had a briefing in school till arn 9.30am and left for NTU
and i had to leave NTU at 1030am so that i wont be late for band which is SUPPOSED to start at 1100am.
good thing the place was somewhat familiar to me. NUS CANTEEN A, where they had macdonalds. bought my lunch there and ate on bus on the way back to PJC
reached back pjc..warm up abit and had to leave for MJC.
had an exchange there with MJC(obviously), YJC, CJC and AJC.
CJC was good. and ppl were comparing my sucky safari to theirs. i admit im the lousier one. BUT, i dont like his version. vibrato at the wrong place. it was just a show off! and can hear that the saxophonist of CJC were whispering abt us(PJ saxophonist) when we were playing.
MJC wasnt that bad either. and they are a very young band. they got the sound. the really FULL sound. nice to hear. better sound than CJC in fact.
the other two JCs also wasnt that bad. im sure AJ improved under this new conductor compared to the prev *i shall not say the name if u dont know*
i underestimated their conductor. when i saw him during band fest, i thought the two bands gonna die under him. but yea, i was wrong. but still, i didnt had a good first impression of him.
as for us. we didnt do our best. i just dont get it. why i didnt get it right?!, esp when i was quite calm just now. ERGH! i MUST make sure it doesnt happen again on the day itself.
miss chan said we were only on a bronze level today. i dont want a bronze!
i want what we aimed for. in fact, to maintain the gold will be even better!
but actually, kinda confused. aloysius said that he heard some CJC ppl said that we are like their competition.(or smth like that)
whatever it was, we still have alot to improve in this last one week. in fact, just 5 days to practice, and three more practices with miss chan.
so, to sum up what i did for today:
home --> PJC --> NTU --> PJC --> MJC --> PJC --> dinner at BPP --> home
cool eh?
and i totally slacked away the rest of the night
too tired to do anything
things to do tmr:
homework (but first have to find out got what homework)
study for monday's physics test
man....call it a weekend~
