THIS ENTRY IS ALL ABOUT BAND.
went to see CMB for their SYF competition today.
damn they were good! safari was lively. jericho was with emotions.
like, seriously!
the people, whom i think are from victoria school cos they mentioned a very familiar name that i know from VS and is currently in VJC, also said good comments about CMB.
some bands abit sad lar, esp that band to be in between yuhua and tanjong katong girls school.
yuhua was damn good can. they moved alot, but it was nice to see. and the part they had to breathe together was cool!
tkgs was good too, but they should choose a more show off choice piece.
and so...the results...
CMB GOT GOLD!
yup...they managed to maintain that gold
really proud of them for that.
i heard some werent satisfied with the results.
but they shldnt be la...like, look on the brighter side
at least we're as good as yuhua, tkgs and even swiss cottage (who got Gold with Honours the prev SYF)
5 gold bands for day 1.
some CHIJ girls school (toa payoh i think), Commonwealth, Yuhua, TKGS and Swiss Cottage
the surprise was that, TKGS, Yuhua and Swiss didnt get honours.
and Victoria school got silver
anyway, 1 band got COP. abit sad lar.
i think the standard is higher this SYF. and Gold isnt that easy anymore. nonetheless gold with honours.
with that, im kind of worried for PJ band. if the standard is high, are we able to maintain that gold? well, its too early to say anything. i hope we can. i have faith in the band. i believe we can. somehow, i wish the school is on our side that we are able to pon lessons or end lessons earlier so that we can have extra practices with more people present. like, seriously, i feel that they should. like, it is no point if we have extra practice when a large number of people have remedials bla bla.
anyway..the band directly after pjc is ACS (IB)..i dont really know how good they are, but AC supposed to be good.
ok..shall not whine here.
