2007 already!!!

...yea..im abit too late to blog about the arrival of 2007
but it's because i just reached singapore at about 2am this morning, coming from kedah which is the northern part of malaysia, quite near thailand.
stayed at my aunt's place, 'celebrated' hari raya haji there.
and my new year was spent in the car since 1pm.
and i reached at 2 am...calculate the long hours of travel yourself
actually can reach earlier, but on the way got rain so cant go fast and also there was a traffic jam at the immigration checkpoint.
oh ya..i went there on the 28th, so i spent around 5 days out of singapore.
bravo to my brother, for being the sole driver towards and back from kedah.
i'll make the entry short. feeling abit lazy, and need to do some shopping later.

28th dec
left house at 6am
and at our first toilet break, something quite suspicious happened
parked the car, all left for toilet
came back, i saw some men on one side of the car, very near it.
i think my bro saw it too so he pressed the sound thingy to unlock the car
the men went away
i bet they had something on their mind lar. parked the motorcycle so near the car that we cant open the door big big. and the thing is that the bike was parked in a car slot. shit them.
the journey was smooth. rain only at the southern part of malaysia. not so dangerous.
reached around 5pm with my singaporean uncle who reached there a few days earlier waiting at the exit there cos it was our first time there on our own..as in by car..so we didnt know the way to the 'kampong'
well, my aunt dont really live in kampong. it was more like a single storey semi-D.
cement, not wood. but not like those in singapore.
really tired by then cos i only slept for less than half n hr during the journey.
i tried not to sleep so as to keep the atmosphere not so sleepy. later my bro fell asleep while driving how?
so yea..bla bla..only went out for dinner that night and thats the end of day one.

29th dec
we went to this place called Padang Besar (big field) in Perlis, which is along the borders of thailand. yes, i saw the immigration checkpoint to go into thailand. not impressed by it, jus WOWed me that i reached there...BY CAR. saw lots of thailand vehicles.
shopped abit there but didnt really buy much.
dinner and end of day two.
slept at my cousins house, which is a flat. felt more like home.

30th dec(longest part of the entry...'exciting' day)

part 1
bad thing happened earlier part of the day, making our spirit of doing more shopping dampened.
i took my cousin's car with two other singaporean aunties on the way back to my aunt house.
met with abit of accident and i had a 'sign' to remind me of it.
now my specs got a small but obvious crack! damn i need a new one.
this was what happened:
when turning into my aunt's area, this bike couldnt stop on time so he threw himself onto the road and the bike hit the left side of the car.
(i sat on the front seat, left side of the car)
shocked me to hell lar!
whats worse was that almost every men that saw it crowd the car.
scolded us, cursed us.
and you know why? they thought we werent malays.
(my two aunts and cousin didnt wear the tudong, cos it was from a home to a home, quite troublesome for them maybe)
so yea, we were verbally attacked by those kampong people.
being the only guy, i was verbally attacked too.
the situation was total chaos.
we didnt dare to come out of the car as some of those people do have the look of wanting to beat us up.
SCARY!
esp this particular man who cursed us like hell.
but when my uncle(my cousin's dad) came, we felt so relieved as he was quite well-known around the area.
my cousin then went out of the car and there was this man who wanted to hit her but my uncle pushed him away real hard.
and the man who cursed us walked away pretended to not know anything cos he's one of my uncle drink coffee buddy.
my cousins husband(who came later on) confronted the guy who cursed us. and guessed what? he shiverred after that!! can see cos he was holding a cigarette stick. quite laugh-able to see him like that. he also tried to deny the cursing at first. shit him! call himself a retired teacher!
almost all men in my relatives(my father, my other uncle, etc.) felt like beating him up lar!
he cursed us like hell, then denied it, when he was just a guy who was drinking coffee when the incident happened.
it was also the bike's fault ok!
he was with other bike, riding in a row occupying the whole lane, so he couldnt do escape by turning. the way he ride also was like racing with his friends.
you know, those malaysian bad motocyclist...
anyway, he wasnt badly injured either. the accident was a minor. minor cuts all that.
he threw himself away wad..only the bike hit the car.
still, SHIT THAT UNCLE FOR CURSING US AS IF THE GUY DIED ON THE SPOT!
ok, enough of the accident
because of that, our intention to go pulau pinang was postponed

part two of the day was that my singaporean uncle booked a big chalet for his family of five
not the usual kind of chalet but the one on water then can do fishing also
the chalet was on a sea. away from land. have to take a sampan with a motor (is it called boat?) to go to the chalet.
interesting experience.
all of us went there at first except for the aunties as they needed to do some hari raya cooking.
the chalet was big. there's kitchen, two bedroom and a room for TV.
it was so shiok that some of us went back to asked the aunties to join us after cooking.
coincidentally, the 'house' beside us was vacant. so we booked another house.
so cool lar!! really nice!
the house can feel the waves..but wont get sea sick that kind.
so we spent the night there and the morning of hari raya there. couldnt go for raya prayers and/or withness the slaughtering of sheep/cow/other acceptable animals. unlike singapore where you can only see sheep.

31st dec
after back from chalet, we did some visiting to my other distant relatives in kedah and p. pinang.
well..it was more like since where around the area kind of thing.
then did some shopping in p. pinang too
the island was so crowded lar...why? cos alot wanted to go to the new year carnival and countdown
the number of vehicles was worse than orchard during peak hours! and their driving is like shit!
they drive as if they dont care about life.
bla bla bla, reached my aunt's place at near 12 midnight

1st jan
morning was spent packing
left the house at 1230pm with my singaporean's uncle family
rained at some parts of perak, which was so damn scary cos it was downhill and uphill kind of road.
some malaysian drivers are so dumb that they didnt even on the lights. dangerous you know!
reached home at near 2am.

so now im back
donated blood to mosquitoes there
marks on my arms especially
with memories brought back, esp the minor accident.
but thank god im back in SG safe and in one piece.

and now its back to 'reality'
school, stress, busy..yada yada..
but somehow i cant wait for school to start.
not for the studies, but for the friends and fun.

anyway, i havent got the chance to say this:
goodbye 2006! the year spent with you was great!
many new friends made. old friends seperated but remain contacted once a while.
i hope 2007 will be great, better or at least as good as 2006, despite the more stresses to come.
no matter what, of course i'll miss 2006!

a' levels. BRING IT ON!
yea rite

shant make it any longer.
goodbye!
